RED RIBBON CLUB

The red ribbon is a globally recognized symbol for both drug prevention and
the fight against AIDS. The Red Ribbon Club was established in 2025 with the
primary objective of educating individuals about the prevention of Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), and
AIDS-Related Complex (ARC).The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) seeks to harness the
potential of youth by providing them with accurate information on HIV/AIDS
prevention, treatment, care, and support. Its mission is to create an HIV/AIDS-free
India by raising awareness about the causes and transmission of HIV/AIDS among
student and non-student youth, as well as the general public.Mrs. G.Guruhulahema,
Assistant Professor, serves as the coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club.

Mission of Red Ribbon Club

To create awareness among youth on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections
(STIs), and related issues through education and outreach.
To promote safe and healthy lifestyles and equip youth with life skills to manage
peer pressure and make informed decisions.
To encourage voluntary blood donation and eliminate myths and misconceptions
about it.
To reduce stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS by promoting empathy
and social inclusion.
To foster leadership and volunteerism among students in health-related community
service activities.
